This position serves as a Writer/Editor in the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Operations Office, Communications and Governmental Affairs. The position is responsible for writing and editing a variety of written products about criminal justice related programs, projects and initiatives, and maintains BJA's boilerplate text and style guide.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Proofreading, performing substantive editing, and copy-editing of complex written material;
Ensuring edited materials are formatted correctly, free of typos, grammatical errors, and all content is correct;
Ensuring clarity, consistency, completeness, plain language adherence, and application of style guides, organizational branding/messaging, and template usage;
Developing and/or maintaining a system for writing, tracking, and updating organizational boilerplate language, style guides, templates, and website content encompassing all organization's written products.
