The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) level Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for Material Support Programs assigned within the AFSC. Support extends to all Supply Chain Managers (SCMs) and related Supply Chain Functional.
Duties
Serves as the Functional Cataloging Specialist and CATM for all assigned systems and programs within the AFSC/Wing.
Reviews and coordinates on all policy that is downward directed.
Provides information training when required and assists training organization in the development of formal training material.
Prepares and presents reports, studies and briefings to evaluate the effectiveness of related cataloging programs.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have, at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-11) level or equivalent (grade level, pay schedule, pay band, etc.) and is described in detail in my resume. An example of creditable specialized experience includes: analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of material management functions/processes as they relate to Item management, Equipment Specialist, and Production Management Specialist career fields; Interpret regulations, policies, instructions and guidelines and relate them to item requirement systems and requirement determination process; Apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration and resolution of discrepancies found/noted during item reviews; ability to determine problem solving methods, objectives, strategies and techniques. Examples of specialized experience include extensive functional and technical knowledge of policies, procedures and Air Force regulations governing the Material Support.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Material support Systems techniques, operations and programs
Knowledge of established policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to Material Support programs
Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex problems and/or deviate from normal procedures
Ability to work with management in a staff function. This includes advising management on specific processes and decision making
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of security regulations and policy pertaining to Privacy Act of 1974
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
