About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, FP.
Duties
Serves as Assistant Program Manager responsible for managing new systems through advanced development, production and fielding.
Exercises management control of all functional inputs to the program.
Establishes the controls necessary to manage internal operations, matrix support and the support of other command and agencies.
Maintains a continuous up to date cognizance of all aspects of project(s).
Identifies problem areas and determines and directs action necessary to accomplish the project plan and objectives.
Oversees coordination between assigned program(s) and other systems.
Maintains direct channel communications with system users and the user community.
Attends high level conference and meetings with representatives of DoD, DA, AMC and other commands and agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level in the Federal service which includes, 1. Providing a wide range of program support to include managing systems through development, production, and fielding; 2. Reviewing and evaluating program-related components (such as engineering, procurement, budgeting, logistics development, sustainment planning, integrated logistics support, testing, configuration management, product improvement, and fielding) to ensure cost/schedule/performance goals are met; 3. Providing technical advice and applying analytical problem solving to internal staff and/or other organizations on program related issues; 4. Delivering briefings and providing interface coordination with other agencies regarding program/project status.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
