You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the RESEACH & DEVELOPMENT DIVISION of the Joint Intermediate Force Capabilities Office, HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will prepare annual programmatic execution plans and coordinates respective project objectives across the technology development portfolio to expedite technology maturation and transition to the war fighter.
You will coordinate and direct the accomplishment of all functions comprising the assigned mission of the organization.
You will recommend and participate in developing strategies for implementing planning for a major office or program.
You will recommend and/or put into action organizational or process changes.
You will provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
You will perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in science, and engineering disciplines to develop and refine multi-year capability maturation and integration plans to effect timely capability transition; direct and oversee the research and development (R&D) portfolio. Establish key performance measures, direct preparation of clear and concise Statements of Work and phasing plans. Mentor and train subordinate Project Managers to develop their proficiency in tracking and assessment of cost, schedule, and performance objectives of their projects; supervise employee performance by completing performance management tasks, ensuring performance plans, progress reviews and appraisals are prepared, completed, and communicated as required.
