The National Caregiver Support Program Office (CSP) is a vibrant and busy office based at VACO. This position serves as a Clinical Coordinator within the Caregiver Record Manager Application (CARMA) and the Electronic Health Record (EHR) workstream, located within the National Caregiver Support Program (CSP) office. VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Duties include but are not limited to: The incumbent uses clinical knowledge as a health care professional to influence and adapt IT systems to drive usage of the IT systems and the EHR by clinical field-based staff toward effectiveness, efficiency and excellence in care for caregivers and Veterans. As such, incumbent will perform workflow assessments and optimization in clinical, administrative and educational domains, in addition to adapting software controls to existing workflow. The incumbent coordinates the development and refinement of clinical EHR templates and is tasked with driving CSP's ongoing adoption of EHRM to ensure consistence across the legacy EHR and Cerner Millennium. As a clinician, the incumbent ensures that EHR templates contain all necessary fields and information to provide indicated care to caregivers and Veterans. The incumbent is a resource for CSP staff when mission critical updates/problems are identified at the facility, regional, or national levels, and serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for new technology assessment and usability. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 08:00 am - 4:30 pm Telework: Available (If approved, applicant is required on site 50% of work schedule per pay period) VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Virtual: The employee may work at a VA facility or other VA-leased space other than the facility that is hiring the employee and is authorized for telework up to 50%. Qualifications

Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education: Must have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going to the CSWE website to verify if that social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a Master of Social Work. Licensure: Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. Individuals assigned as supervisory social workers must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Grandfathering Provision: All persons employed in VHA in this occupation on the effective date of this qualification standard are considered to have met all qualification requirements for the title, series and grade held, including positive education and licensure or certification that are part of the basic requirements of the occupation. Grade Determinations:GS-13 Experience and Education: Completion of a minimum of one year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. In addition to the experience above, candidates must demonstrate all of the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Skill in coordinating and implementing one or more specialty program(s), across the facility. Skill in local policy and practice development, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program as prescribed by the program handbook or national directive. Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to further program goals and enhance patient centered care. Ability to provide the full range of supervisory duties including assignment of work to be performed; performance evaluations; and selection of staff, training, and recommendation of awards, advancements, and when appropriate, disciplinary action. Ability to oversee the fiscal matters of the functions supervised (including fund controls, contracts, and equipment expenditures), forecast resource and equipment needs, and administer the allocated budget.
