This temporary promotion may be extended up to one additional year.
This position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
This position is located in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys and/or United States Attorney's Office (EOUSA), Employee Assistance Program Office.
Typical duties will include:
Leads the team in accomplishing assignments within the timeframes for completion.
Coaches the team in selecting and applying appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques.
Determines client treatment needs and coordinates with available community resources.
Develops appropriate problem-solving plan for each referral.
Identifies and selects resources best suited for each client's needs including type of resource, facilities, and cost.
Assures client fully understands recommended plan.
Requirements

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction. (Note: You MUST submit copies of your licenses or certifications with your resume. Failure to provide required documents will render you not eligible for consideration.)
Specialized Experience GS-14: Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in federal service such as: advising employees and supervisors on matters related to a federal Employee Assistance Program (EAP), providing counseling support to employees, assessing client treatment needs, or serving as a liason betwen work and treatment settings.
Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. Education
