About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence - CDID at Fort Eisenhower, Georiga.

Duties

Develops organizational documents for Signal, EW, or Cyber units. Researches and applies regulatory guidance for the development of the TOE system to redesign and restructure the force providing a more agile and lethal Army by a continuation of the Army modernization effort. Prepares IAW AR 71-32, Cyber/EW/Signal Force Design Updates (FDU) products to include Automated Unit Reference Sheet (AURS), organizational design papers, concept papers, briefings, cost benefit analysis, and transmittal letters Interprets regulations, policies, and directives governing the force development and documentation programs, which are necessary to plan, analyze, provide advice, and implement force management programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent must be subjected to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Up to 25% TDY is required.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Developing force design and manpower alternatives in order to eliminate duplication and overlap, and transfer functions to support present and future combat operations and force structures at both theater and tactical levels. 2) Collaborating with others to research force and information management through the review of pertinent publications and personal contacts with the functional and technical communities, industry, and private organizations and groups. 3) Maintaining contacts to settle matters involving varying force structure issues.
