About the Position: Works as the Clinic Practice Manager under the direct supervision of the Group Practice Manager, Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center who provides overall direction. The incumbent independently identifies the need for analyses, reports, or statistical reviews in support of the TRICARE health care and PCMH delivery systems. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Responsible for appointment standardization, provider, clinic-file and table management, access measurement and appointment template/schedule management. Responsible and accountable for appointment standardization, patient access, and provider schedule management. Monitor appointment standardization compliance and access metrics for all clinics within the MTF. Provide services and instructional assistance to users in office automation software products and their application. Prepare or assist in manpower reporting involving Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) for the automated source data collection and Defense Medical Human Resources Internet (DMHRSi). Perform comprehensive analysis of information related to patient visits and provider services.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) requirement of 5%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing process improvement activities throughout the medical treatment facility; and experience analyzing data to evaluate patient care delivery systems and identify trends; and experience providing consultation and recommendations to management on effective performance improvement strategies, methods, techniques, and tools; and experience utilizing various electronic databases and electronic healthcare systems to prepare reports on healthcare data services.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Health Care Administration or Public Health. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
