About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Health System Specialist responsible for managing and directing administrative operations and for conducting program development, analysis, and evaluation functions for one or more Departments/Deputy Commanders in accordance with Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) and US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) guidelines, policies, and directives. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Plan, coordinate, direct, and advise Department personnel on a range of administrative aspects of health care delivery. Advise the department chiefs and assigned personnel on routine matters of administration and management. Serve as Department liaison for civilian personnel management functions. Perform budgeting management for all expenditures within the respective clinical departments. Provide comprehensive administrative management to the departments in areas of contracting, civilian personnel, and data analysis. Perform logistical management functions for the Department. Verify the ordering, receipt, and payment of government purchase card accounts. Coordinate and monitor the preparation of DMHRSI/MEPRS as indicated by changes in workload, assigned missions or manpower utilization.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
