The mission of the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is to serve Congress and the Supreme Court, preserve America's Capitol, and inspire memorable experiences. This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Budget Division. The incumbent serves as a full assistant to the Budget Officer.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-15 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes:Leading staff to formulate, prepare, present, justify, and execute agency budget;Serving as the agency's primary functional expert on budgetary matters and interpretation of policies, regulations, and laws related to the federal budget process;Utilizing principles, policies, regulations and procedures of budget/financial transactions to evaluate financial data and prepare a variety of reports; andProviding expert advice and consultation to top management officials on significant budget management operations and systems.
