About the Position:This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) Fort. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.
Duties
Drafts, edits, revises, prints, copies or forwards for signature a wide range of documents in the correct and final form.
Responsible for military personnel functions and programs to include drafting/initiating, preparing, reviewing, revising, editing, finalizing, coordinating, processing, tracking, receiving, retrieving, copying personnel actions.
Updating and uploading documents into Soldier interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS).
Determining and processing military pay entitlements and allowances for pay inquiries.
Uses a variety of automated Defense Military Personnel Data Systems for the retrieval and input of data to including Enlisted Distribution Assignment System (EDAS); Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO), etc.
Receives and answers internal and external inquiries and customer complaints of varying complexity made through phone calls, electronic mail, or visits, and provides answers to inquiries.
Composes correspondence (memorandums, emails, reports, policy memorandums, and SOPs) ensuring proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, format and completeness.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish AND English
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes identifying discrepancies regarding information contained in a military personnel automated database system; Initiating requests for orders for intra-station assignments, reassignments, appointments and details for military personnel; Participating in unit Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) for military personnel by counseling Soldiers on benefits and accuracy of information such as Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) data and emergency contact data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires the incumbent to be able to speak, write and read in Spanish and English.
