About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Officer for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Provide staff advice, assistance, and consultation to leadership in administrative and management direction and coordination of staff actions and projects.
Prepare and execute trip orders, invitational travel orders, itineraries, and voucher submission for domestic and international travel.
Prepare budget projections based on past expenditures, knowledge of the requirements, changes in workload, and future goals of the organization.
Oversee the management of the security program by providing guidance and assistance on all security matters.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (SCI) Security Clearance with Specialized Compartmented Information access.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel to various CONUS locations, approximately 5%.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising personnel on administrative matters regarding policies, procedures, and regulations; providing guidance and oversight to subordinate staff elements regarding budgetary obligations and commitments to ensure consistency with authorized budget and spend plan; and maintaining oversight of the assigned organization's security program.
