You will serve as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Judge Advocate General (OJAG) of NLSC.

Duties

You will purchase supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 and 17. You will evaluate requirements, measure relevant procurement factors, solicit cost estimates, and recommend course of action to achieve objective, as necessary, for certain, non-specific procurement requests. You will track procurement actions to ensure timely and complete delivery of materials and supplies to respective activities. You will verify requirements for special attention items are met and requirements are not on the list of prohibited items. You will work directly with vendors and customers alike to ensure necessary items are purchased and received, or appropriate substitutions are provided.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You may be required to type 40 words per minute.
  • You may be required to work outside normal work hours.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: 1) Completing procurement transactions for supplies, equipment, and/or services; 2) Utilizing various web-based programs to conduct research, review and reconcile information, and/or run reports; 3) Evaluating requirements, measuring relevant procurement factors, soliciting cost estimates, and recommending course of action to achieve objective, as necessary, for certain, non-specific procurement requests.
