About the Position: This position is located in the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade located at Fort Jackson, SC. This is a Planned Management Action open to Current Civilian Employees of the Organization. See Additional Information below for more specific information.

Duties

Maintains Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) property books and assists the Installation Property Book Officer (IPBO). Manages primary hand receipts (PHRs), Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPLs) document registers, requisitions, records in connection with property inventories and other property book transactions. Coordinates efforts for accuracy and compliance with the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) within the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC). Review requests to ensure proper identification, cost, justification, and compliance with pertinent requisition procedures, to detect exact item identification, authorization of acceptable substitute items. Submits purchase requests for items from commercial sources. Extract authorized items for requisition action or local purchase. Establishes descriptive nomenclature and line numbers for purchase of items using AESIP. Research database for property identification and submits requests for cataloging specifications identifying non-standard items to catalog items in GCSS-A. Compile data and provide necessary information to equipment specialists. Prepare and edit requisitions, turn-ins, transfers, receiving reports and other documents.

Current Civilian Employees of the OrganizationCurrent Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting with maintaining organizational property books; 2) assisting with extractions of authorized items for requisition action or local purchase; 3) submitting purchase requests for items from commercial sources; and 4) managing hand receipts, Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPLs), and property book records. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
