About the Position: This position is located with the 407th Army Sustainment Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Fort Sill, OK
Duties
Provide liaison support between higher authority and the Civilian Human Resources Service Center.
Receives and reviews official Requests to Fill (RTF) to confirm accuracy of information such as position paragraph and line number, position description number, position title, grade and series, and resource management funding information.
Initiates, monitors, and tracks all requests for personnel action (RPA) for assigned units after approved RTF is received.
Assists in the development of awards documentation and processing. Provides advice and guidance regarding requirements for both monetary and non-monetary awards.
Coordinate a variety of personnel actions with the Civilian Human Resources Service Center.
Attends meetings, conferences, and training sessions with management and operating officials, as required, to keep abreast of the latest guidance pertaining to workforce management actions.
Keeps weekly updated status of all hiring actions and maintains notes that are understood and can be briefed to higher authority.
Identifies ways to improve current personnel services to ensure alignment with management’s business objectives.
Provide recruitment advice and assistance to managers and supervisors.
Apply fact-finding techniques, oral and written communications, development of presentations and reports, and judgment in problem solving.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty travel of up to 25% may be required.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Provide assistance in drafting recruitment request forms i.e., Requests to fill (RTF); Provide recommendations for position management questions regarding classification, staffing, or performance awards; Utilize automated systems to consolidate data and prepare reports; Attend training sessions to keep abreast of the latest guidance pertaining to workforce management actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
