This position is in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Integrated Technology Division (ITD). The ITD organizational unit works to ensure operations and business systems are connected, integrated, and secured. Cyber Management Branch (CMB) applies the DoD Cyber Strategy by taking actions to ensure that WHS/FSD has the right cyber capabilities, cyber security, and cyber resilience to complete its Mission.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Assist the FSD Director, ITD Director, and Managers in leading the implementation of IT leveraged business system solutions.
Provide a bridge between the FSD business functions and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
Define scope of FSD Business IT projects.
Develop, devise, implement, and oversee complex cyber security policies.

You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your experience in: applying a wide range of of IT principles, concepts, system architecture, integration techniques, and performing testing methods; performing system integration methods, performance tuning methods, test and evaluation methods and procedures. Applying IT security principles and methods and project management principles and methods sufficient to plan and coordinate the installation of new products or equipment.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
