As an Equal Employment Specialist (National Advisor), you will serves as an advisor to ORMDI's senior leaders in the area of EEO Counseling. This individual is the primary subject matter expert in the area of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counseling in ORMDI and serves as the sole in-line quality reviewer of counseling episodes used by ORMDI's Regional Directors for the purposes of evaluating a critical element of performance of District Managers.
Duties
Serve as subject matter expert in area of EEO counseling.
Recommend improvements to the EEO counseling process to improve efficiency.
Serve as consultant for both directors and managers during pre-complaint stage of the EEO complaint process.
Provide technical expertise on complex EEO cases.
Deliver training on emerging laws, regulations, or issues impacting resolutions conducted during the pre-complaint stage of EEO complaint processing

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS 12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) Recommending improvements to the EEO counseling process to improve efficiencies. (2) Serving as consultant for both directors and managers during pre-complaint stage of the EEO complaint process. (3) Delivering training on emerging laws, regulations, or issues impacting resolutions conducted during the pre-complaint stage of EEO complaint processing.
Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-13 level.
