You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST (REQUIREMENTS AND RESOURCES) in the N8 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.

Duties

You will monitor Naval Special Warfare Group Eight (NSWG-8) identified capability gaps and aligns with requirements, acquisition, and resourcing processes. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities. You will Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for development and training. You will develop performance standards, review and approve leave requests, time and attendance records, and work schedules. You will act as the lead Naval Special Warfare (NSW) proponent for programming, budgeting, and execution of investment, development, and sustainment resources for NSWG-8 focused MFP-2 and MFP-11 Programs of Record (PoR’s). You will review, interpret, and evaluate requirements-related information, and articulates viable recommendations for determining specific program/project requirements. You will represent the command at meetings, conferences, boards, symposiums, and operational force visits.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is subject to random counterintelligence scope polygraph examinations.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assessing operational need for new capabilities and developing supporting operational requirements documents AND conducting analysis of material and non-material approaches to refining/expanding capabilities and cutting-edge technologies, and provides support for acquisition of future combat and technology systems.
