Duties
Serve as the Deputy Director of the Business Support Directorate for Disposition Services
Identifies and develops strategic change, lead, and inspect a multi-sector group.
Manage human, financial and information resources to safeguard against waste, loss and unauthorized use or
misappropriation.
Accountable for the direction and oversight of various business support programs to include development,
documentation and operation of internal and external programs.
Serve as the technical expert in advising business support initiatives and long-range plans.
Ensure compliance with all agency policy, directing appraisal of all programmatic operations to identify and
assess risks, process improvement audit advancement and effectiveness of internal controls.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Business Support Programs Deputy Director, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to
successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14
level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under
other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements
including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum
qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable
specialized experience includes:
Providing direction and oversight of various business support programs to include development,
documentation and operation of both internal processes and administrative controls.
Conducting complex program analysis, evaluating effectiveness of manpower management, dollars, and
materials.
Developing new and improved business outreach opportunities through marketing communication strategies,
market research and customer business development initiatives.
Targeting and reducing wasted time and decreases costs of end-to-end processes to be standardized,
efficient and controlled.
Developing policies and priorities that affect functional process changes and improvements.
Building coalitions internally and externally while understanding individual and organizational responsibilities
in relation to the larger DoD strategic process.
Providing trusted input required to shape Disposition Services programs, policy, strategic direction, vision,
and goals.
Decision making that produces high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and
calculating risks.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
