About the Position: Serves as a Financial Management Analyst in support of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), with a focus on participating in the programming and budgeting of Base Recurring Program and participating in developing, formulating, and coordinating USAREC's budget to include budget execution and review and analysis of accomplishments; maintenance of budget documents; and preparation of required reports and other inputs to higher headquarters.
Duties
Utilize automated financial systems to provide data for review.
Provide technical support to all users to ensure proper use of automated systems.
Create financial reports for short- and long-term budgetary analysis.
Provide budget projections to create solution for budget concerns.
Analyze trends in fund usage to project possible deviations.
Review fund requests to allocate funding.
Monitor use of funds through various communications to ensure proper expenditures are documented.
Develop guidance for management to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position designated.
- Must be able to Travel for Duty (TDY) 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an automated financial system to generate various reports; utilizing reporting data to advise on budgetary forecasting or decisions; interpreting financial regulations to provide guidance; and monitoring funds to ensure proper utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
