About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, Force Projection. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS & PEO GCS, with duty location at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.
Duties
Performs a variety of highly technical assignments relevant to the implementation of state-of-the-art information technology.
Coordinates all requests for information from upper management and higher headquarters with all Command sites ensuring that all responses are technically sound and compatible Command wide.
Maintains project manager duties over assigned areas of responsibility.
Acts as a spokesperson for the organization in assigned areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 (Practitioner) in the Acquisition Career Field Engineering and Technical Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Up to 10% travel on business

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Conducting studies, develops policies, and recommends enhancements; 2) Developing and/or improving IT related processes across the PM; 3) Applying command policies, procedures, and regulations; AND 4) Assisting with project manager duties over assigned areas of responsibility i.e. web compliance, CAC, monitors, evaluates, and documents problems, recommends corrective action and monitors resolutions.

Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
