About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties

Provide guidance on accounting procedures of personal property to depot and tentative activities to remain in compliance. Review property book items to ensure that all designated property is properly accounted for. Advise Hand Receipt Holders (HRH) on corrective measure to improve accuracy of property accountability. Conduct training to ensure all Hand Receipt Holders (HRH) are properly appointed. Conduct site visits through the year to ensure Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) is in compliance with regulations. Develop reports to include charts, graphs, and diagrams of work methods for presentation of improvement of operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
  • May be required to travel (TDY) 10% of the time for business purposes.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessProblem SolvingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
