About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the US Army Intelligence & Security Command, 780th MI BDE, 782D MI BN responsible for providing a variety of essential management, administrative, and personnel services to facilitate efficient operations of Cyber Teams.

Duties

Analyze administrative and management data to provide recommendations as to the use of personnel and resources to accomplish the goals and mission of the organization Maintain databases containing current vacancy status and prepare strength reports to higher headquarters Serve as a Non-Defense Entry Agent (NDEA) requiring knowledge of temporary duty travel, per diem, regulations, and budget Assist in developing budget estimates and justification ensuring funds are used in accordance with the operation budget Assist the Training Officer in evaluating all training requests for applicability to job description requirements and individual development plans Serve as liaison with servicing Military Personnel Office, Civilian Personnel Advisory Centers, and Equal Employment Opportunity Offices

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 10% or less.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Stress is inherent in the nature of work. The many short-suspense actions and pressures of time from nearly all contacts contribute to heightened demands on the incumbent.
  • Position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Army’s mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide.
  • Must sign DD Form 2365 acknowledging certain levels of medical, security, performance, conduct, and overall fitness must be maintained to ensure suitability for assignment to an austere and stressful combat environment.
  • Position is designated Mission Essential and must be able to remain on duty or make every effort to report to duty on time during emergency and/or crisis situations.

Specialized experience is defined as experience evaluating training requirements; initiating military and civilian personnel actions; assisting personnel with travel authorizations and/or vouchers; and developing and maintain the organizational structure for improvements and effective use of personnel, funds, and materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
