About the Position: About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees
Duties
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Prepare required financial management reports for analysis.
Assist in correction of errors for the organization in the financial management system.
Coordinate with customers on financial status of funding documents.
Utilize various applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Power BI when compiling basic data into needed formats.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Data Analytics Certification Level 1 within 12 months of being appointed to the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.
- Incumbent must obtain Level 1 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program within 2 years of entry on duty into this FM position.

Who May Apply: Positions are open to:
Recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associate, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. Short-term training programs (e.g. several two-week programs completed) are not considered an academic course of study.
Preference eligible veterans who were precluded from applying due to their military service obligation begin their two-year eligibility period upon release or discharge from active duty. Eligibility for these veterans cannot exceed six years after degree or certificate completion.

After Program completion, Department of the Army Recent Graduates MAY be converted to a permanent position or to a term position (a project-based term of employment lasting between one and four years).
To be eligible for conversion to a permanent or term position, Recent Graduates must:
Be a U.S. Citizen
Successfully complete all the requirements of the Recent Graduate Program as defined in the Agency Participant Agreement.
Demonstrate successful job performance.
Meet the Office of Personnel Management qualification standard including any applicable positive education requirements and/or selection placement factors and any other designated special qualifications requirements and conditions of employment (e.g. medical standards) appropriate for the position to which being converted.

In order to qualify you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes assisting with researching guides to extract legal, regulatory, program, and budgetary information for use by the supervisor or higher graded analyst. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
