You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DIRECTORATE MARITIME OPERATIONS, COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (N048), DISBURSING,TRAVEL & PAYROLL SUPPORT DIVISION (N0484), CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE (N04844) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will comply, analyze, and summarize financial and budget information related to assigned areas of a financial program.
You will apply standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and financial administrative process.

You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations
You will assists in formulation of budget and estimate support plans, programs, and activities.
You will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills.

- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience formulating and estimating budget to support plans, programs, and activities.
Experience reviewing and evaluating budget requests and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
Experience interpreting organizational budgets, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
Experience performing analytical work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in Civilian Payroll functions, performing Customer Service Representative duties while acting as liaison between the command and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
Experience completing payroll reports and weekly/quarterly audits, processing new hires/separations, and maintaining metric data.
Experience in Civilian Timekeeping and various automated systems utilized in timekeeping processes.
Experience interpreting and applying DoD Financial Management Regulations.
