Duties
Assists in preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the Real Property Master Plan (RPMP).
Manages the installation space allocation process including processing and evaluating all space allocation requests.
Serves as a technical advisor and liaison on matters pertaining to master planning including long-range mission needs, military construction, restoration and modernization, policies, and overall facility utilization.
Requests and receives obligation authority from headquarters for project changes related to master plan projects and forwards appropriate purchasing documents for obligation of funds and execution of projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond 6 years, up to 8 years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 8 years.
- Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
For the GS-09 Level: (1) Communicating with others to schedule and/or organize events/products in a facility and/or space; (2) Utilizing automated systems to organize information for a variety of administrative duties such as, briefings and/or presentation documents; and (3) Researching policies and procedures to rectify problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
For the GS-11 Level: (1) Preparing and presenting briefings and/or documents to management indicating project plans; (2) Performing liaison functions with other organizations, such as effectively presenting the organization's needs and creating coordinated working relations with counterparts; and (3) Evaluating processes against relevant regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
For the GS-12 Level: (1) Preparing and presenting briefings and/or documents to management indicating project plans; (2) Performing liaison functions with other organizations, such as effectively presenting the organization's needs and creating coordinated working relations with counterparts; (3) Evaluating processes against relevant regulatory requirements to ensure compliance; (4) Conducting meetings to evaluate proper utilization of space allocation and maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
