The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Serve as a Senior Project Leader with responsibility for the preparation of project proposals that may include definition of problem, background, plan of action, cost estimate and schedule.
Provides engineering support to production and sustainment activities.
Write formal technical engineering reports for the purpose of presenting results, outcomes, and accomplishments of projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 49 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Thee-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties:
(1) Assisting managers in the preparation, presentation and/or design and development of programs on weapons systems; (2) Leading ECP and SAP efforts throughout different phases of design including initial release and future design changes; (3) Study/analyze weapon system requirements and/or objectives; and (4)
Providing guidance and have familiarity with cannon inspection and laser mapping technologies.
