About the Position: This position is to provide support services in the planning, development, and execution phases of the Joint Security Cooperation Education and Training (JSCET) Program.

Duties

Exposing International Military Students (IMS) and their dependents to cultural, educational, and social programs, tours, and activities that provides a balanced view of American society. Assists International Military Students in the preparation of presentations used in after-duty hour speaking engagements at local schools, churches, and civic groups. Coordinates arrangements and participation in annual social functions, graduations, protocol activities, and Program tours. Arrange long distance multi-day tours to areas outside of a 250-mile radius, Responsible for the wellbeing of all participants on the tour. Arrange for local orientation tour of neighboring civilian communities for International Military Students and dependents such as visits to local city government centers, businesses and industries.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50-100 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
  • This position has an irregular tour of duty and may require shift work and/or work on rotating shifts to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, and be available for stand-by or on-call.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate 15-passenger van.
  • Position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program governed by AR 600-85, The Army Substance Abuse Program. Pre-employment drug test is required, with random drug testing thereafter. Required to sign a DA Form 5019.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Incumbent is required to attend and successfully complete the Intermediate International Military Student Office Course upon one year of onboarding.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
