About the Position:
This position is located at: The United States Army Civil Affairs Psychological Operations Command, G-3/5/7, at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Develops plans for exercises and recommends resource objectives to G3 for ongoing and upcoming command exercises and operational missions.
Analyzes higher headquarters operational plans, orders, and guidance and advises command staff and units with regard to impact on command mission and operations.
Develops and recommends command policy and procedures in accordance with the Assistant Chief of Staff, G33 Operations, and Plans Division Chief instructions.
Reviews plans prepared by subordinate headquarters and units for compliance with command plans and objectives.
Reviews strategic level force readiness plans and develops, manages and/or recommends operations plans that support force readiness.
Advises on all aspects of policy, planning, review, and research as related to real world contingencies and military training operations.
Prepares and presents briefings as needed to command leadership on the command’s SRM status and capabilities in meeting readiness requirements to support theater operations.
Conducts liaison visits with other Major Army Commands, USARC, and OCAR staff, and possibly Federal and State activities, to meet the command’s operations policy and program objectives

Specialized experience includes experience in Strategic planning for an installation. Skilled in using DA systems to properly assess facilities, training, equipment and personnel to meet long-term goals. Experience in preparing correspondence, preparing and presenting briefs. Experience in directing, conducting, and overseeing the completion of detailed studies and experience in utilizing the Military Decision Making Process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-11.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
