You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Department, Engineering Solutions Division, Hardware/Software Engineering Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will collaborate with Cyber Security on Certification and Accreditation documentation to achieve/maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) for IT systems. You will utilize knowledge of information technology trends, and emerging technologies relevant to the design, development and implementation of IT and DevSecOps systems. You will collaborate with multiple DNA Teams and subject matter experts across a variety of IT disciplines to ensure optimal operation of IT systems. You will develop and justify detailed technical plans/schedules, estimate resource requirements, define and evaluate progress against performance and resource expenditure milestones.

Qualifications

You resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. In addition to the four competencies listed above, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing DevSecOps practices including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) Pipelines, Agile Development and Containerized Application Hosting; 2) Applying technical expertise in all IT functional areas (including but not limited to: project management, design, networks, cyber security) and ability to integrate this expertise with practical knowledge of the mission, objectives, and operations; 3) Applying knowledge of systems development tools, hardware architecture and application software products; and 4) Collaborating with all levels of personnel, planning/assigning work, resolving complaints/complex issues, and providing day-to-day tasking and technical direction for a team.
