This position is located in the Office of Environment and Energy (AEE) of the Assistant Administrator for Policy, International Affairs, and Environment, Federal Aviation Administration, Washington D.C. The Office of Environment and Energy develops, recommends, and coordinates national and international standards, policy and guidance, research and studies, and analytical capabilities on aviation environmental and energy matters.
Duties
The incumbent of this position serves as a Special Assistant to the Executive Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Environment and Energy.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS: Experience in at least one of the following technical areas: aviation noise, aircraft or aircraft engine emissions, environmentally beneficial aircraft technology or operational concepts, aviation environmental policy, aviation environmental modeling tools.AND;Experience working as part of a diverse team responsible for creating complex products and reports.AND;Experience coordinating national and/or international environmental policy and guidance on civil aviation matters.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
