You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPEICIALIST in the LOGISTICS AND FINANCIAL PLANNING, SUPPLY BRANCH (N41) of COMMANDER LITTORAL COMBAT SQUADRON TWO.
Duties
You will serve as a technical and subject matter expert, and will be responsible for data analysis, developing metrics, and performing statistical and trend analysis for LCSRON TWO.
You will develop, analyze and conduct periodic operational audits.
You will be responsible for the development of plans and strategies for Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) logistics support.
You will be responsible for the development, review and evaluation of in-port and at-sea logistics activities.
You will ensure that critical information and records are readily accessible for reference and compliance purposes.
You will be responsible for identifying and preventing instances of unethical conduct; to include fraud, waste, and abuse, and unethical conduct.
You will perform contract surveillance and reporting in accordance with the letter of designation and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).
You will monitor contract performance, recommend contract changes, and ensure that any modifications are executed.
You will monitor contract expenditures and payment processes, contract schedule compliance, and uphold the contractual agreements and timelines.
You will collaborate with USFF, NAVSUP FLCN, FLCJ, Fourth Fleet and COMNAVSUFLANT Contracting Officers to support COR responsibilities and reporting requirements.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
To qualify for the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-11 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 WEEKS) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with and a thorough knowledge of the field of Logistics Management; to include analysis of budget procedures, OPTAR, and purchase programs.
Experience with the LCSRON organizational programs, relationship functions, policies and procedures used in evaluating and developing recommendations and solutions to highly complex issues involving mission's logistics.
Experience working in naval ship systems, ship operations, and repair and overhaul ships.
Experience planning, screening and production control of Navy ship repair and overhaul work.
Experience creating oral and written presentations/communications to senior level officials; to include the ability to prepare in-depth written reports that are organized, logical, and complete.
Experience with applicable administrative laws, regulations, concepts, principles, policies, practices and precepts applicable to logistics support for Littoral Combat Ships and other assigned programs.
Experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Maintenance AIS Systems; management of major ship maintenance periods, and associate management reports.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
