You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Prioritization, Planning and Class Execution Branch, Material Readiness Office of COMMANDER LITTORAL COMBAT SQUADRON TWO.
Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.
Duties
You will review all applicable new Ship Change Documents (SCDs) for completeness and consistency with current policies technical applicability and cost effectiveness.
You will plan, establish and maintain short and long range program objectives and ship configuration, modernization, maintenance and alteration installation plans and schedules.
You will prepare and coordinate all technical documentation requirements.
You will prepare, answer, and process incoming and outcoming correspondence dealing with individual class ships.
You will coordinate all configuration and life cycle management technical assists and related visits.
You will coordinate with Advance Planner as it relates to scheduling and execution of modernization and maintenance requirements.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
Conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Articulating, presenting, and promoting, clearly and effectively, varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences.
Selecting, acquiring, storing, and distributing resources in the most efficient way possible.
Processing data and using it to determine an item/system's support needs and preferred support methods.
Using the reliability and maintainability, operational requirements, existing support systems and integrated logistical support objectives as inputs and it outputs an integrated support plan for the item/system's life-cycle.
