Duties

Serve as the subject matter expert and senior advisor to the Commander for all Human Dynamics and Performance related topics. Provide systematic management, oversight, coordination, and integration of training requirements in the development of tailored education and academic support training programs, plans, and exercises to meet assigned missions. Perform fiscal, program, and economic management analysis expertise in evaluating Directorate operational readiness and associated support systems. Advise and solve systemic training management problems of major significance including, but not limited to human performance and learning environment issues that impact SWCS’ ability to meet personnel production requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience assessing productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of human dynamics and performance programs such as holistic human development comprised of human performance in the physical, cognitive, interpersonal, and spiritual/moral domains; Experience performing analytical studies and projects concerning interrelated issues of efficiency and developing detailed, long-range plans and objectives for program implementation and developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the Human Development Performance programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Human Capital ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
