You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Ship Maintenance & CIVPERS Branch of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.

Duties
You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommend alternatives for corrective action.
You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work.
You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
You will interview candidates and recommend hiring, promotions, etc.
You will identify and arrange for employee developmental and training requirements.
You will review for fulfillment of accounting, budgeting or financial program objectives and the effect of advice, influence or decisions on the overall program.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
GS 14: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing financial data, reports and policy/procedure to resolve problems and develop new theories concerning budget, accounting and financial management programs to meet organizational goals/objectives.
GS 13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing financial data, reports and policy/procedure to identify problems and recommend solutions concerning budget, accounting and financial management programs to meet organizational goals/objectives.
