You will serve as a Wargame Manager in the Marine Corps Wargaming Laboratory MARINE CORPS COMBAT DEVELOPMENT CMD.
Duties
You will plan, direct, supervise, coordinate, and execute multiple, simultaneous wargame efforts and scoping future wargames.
You will manage the USMC effort to coordinate participation and ensure the proper representation of Marine Corps equities in other Service Title 10 programs, alongside organizations including Joint Staff and Office of Secretary of Defense wargame
You will manage interrelationships among disparate organizations within and outside the Marine Corps must be identified and engaged to a common purpose within the context of the Wargaming Program.
You will inform and advise the Service, Joint Organizations, other services, and DoD Leadership in the conduct of wargame activities that support visualizing present and future security challenges.
You will write, manage, revise, and maintain the Wargaming planning directives which is both informed by the wargaming communities of practice and interest and acts as the basis for wargaming personnel training and the design and conduct of wargames
Requirements

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) developing, advising, and recommending wargaming best practices and coordinating the complex efforts of multiple individuals and organizations toward the successful execution of a Wargaming Program; 2) utilizing tactical, operational and strategic military planning processes, including but not limited to the Marine Corps Planning Process, the Military Decision Making Process, the Joint Operation Planning Process, and the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System; and 3) advanced knowledge and use of combat simulations, modeling, methods, and tools and the incorporation of these into wargames.
