You will serve as a LEAD SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS

Duties

You will analyze reports and trends which require augmentation or corrective actions. You will communicate orally and in writing with all levels on administrative, personnel and technical matters. You will possess a thorough understanding of such specialized activities as technical data interrogation, supply/logistics, data processing and maintenance. You will research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring Engineering Support Requests (ESR) work flow in work queue, resolving technical/logistical issues, providing technical and policy guidance, intervening between DLA, Navy Maritime In Service Engineering Activities (ISEA) and vendors that an executable response to the ESR is made thus ensuring appropriate Engineering Support to the Fleet; 2) Assisting ISEA personnel with the Engineering Support Request System (ESRS); 3) Ensuring that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services; 4) Articulating and communicating to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion; 5) Resolving unique and complex problems resulting from obsolescence issues, lack of technical or engineering direction or diminished equipment support.
