The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Smithsonian Institution's Office of Facilities Management and Reliability. The Office of Facilities Management and Reliability provides the full range of building services through maintenance and operational zones.
Duties
The Electrician provides electrical services throughout the Smithsonian facilities for the installation of electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls and equipment for the mission, health, comfort and safety of occupants and visitors.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
