You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller in the Aircraft Carrier Conversion/Overhaul/Repair Project Office, Code 152 of SUPSHIP.

Duties

You will serve as the CVN ROCH Branch Head for Executing a complex scheduled overhaul, responsible for contract review, strategy, and execution. You will ensure funds are adequate and provided in a timely manner to prevent an adverse intact on work schedules. You will participate in NAVSEA Fleet Fleet in preliminary RCOHH planning activities, including funding and resource forecasting, and interface with carrier maintenance/life cycle availability planners, TYCOM and support activities You will maintain liaison with customers, ship’s force, SUPSHIPNN, Functional departments and contractors. You will be responsible for production control scheduling conflicts.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NJ-03 (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading and managing production projects to support the overhaul, conversion, or repair for Aircraft Carriers.
