This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Executive Operations Staff (EOS).
As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-13, you will apply qualitative and quantitative methods to the analysis and evaluation of administrative operations, organizations, and management practices to determine their efficiency and effectiveness.
Duties
Analyze and evaluate the management practices and methods and administrative operations of substantive organizations and complex functions.
Compile data and prepare complex administrative and management reports that emanate from the Department or high echelons in the organization.
Review and evaluate managerial policies and procedures to determine gaps, where additional guidance is needed, and analyze the impact of new or proposed legislation on agency operations
Advise managers and program officials on policies and procedures including actions to be taken to accomplish work in accordance with established requirements.

In order to qualify for the GS-13 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Gather and analyze workforce data to prepare reports; AND 2) Develop new approaches to information gathering; AND 3) Conduct complex projects to identify trends, deficiencies, or other similar factors affecting operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
