Duties

You will serve as a technical expert on EEO and diversity services in accordance with EEO Commission and departmental regulations and guidelines. You will ensure legal compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that govern a model EEO program. You will provide advisory services to managers in understanding the interpretation, intent and impact of laws, regulations, policies and programs. You will lead on the processing of informal and formal complaints pursuant to applicable regulations and the guidance provided by the Department’s EEO Office contained within the Department of the Navy (DON) policies manuals. You will manage caseload and identify time-frames for completion, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures and assist the team in identifying parameters for a viable solution. You will monitor and report on the complaints case status and progress of team member's work, review completed work for conformance to instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality. You will apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-01 (GS-4) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using a foundation of basic equal employment opportunity knowledge (e.g. fact-finding, analysis, problem solving, interpreting regulations and policies, dealing effectively with people, complaint counseling etc.) to assist with the resolution of issues within an organization. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree;

OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
