You will serve as the Deputy Director Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) for the Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Command Headquarters, Program Executive Offices, and General Fund Field Activities, providing technical authoritative expertise on EEO and diversity services in accordance with EEO Commission (EEOC) and departmental regulations and guidelines. You will ensure legal compliance with EEO laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that govern a model EEO program.
Duties
You will provide advisory services to managers in understanding the interpretation, intent and impact of laws, regulations, policies and programs pertaining to EEO, diversity, affirmative employment, special emphasis programs, etc.
You will advise senior leadership on broad, complex, and sensitive systemic EEO issues, elimination of barriers to equal employment including agency management policies and practices, and provision of management advisory and consulting services.
You will manage and oversee all informal and formal EEO cases, investigations, reasonable accommodation requests, ADR scheduling, annual MD-715 reporting within established timeliness.
You will lead the development and promotion of EEO programs and services to serviced customers in accordance with Department of Navy policies and procedures.
You will lead the management of special emphasis program to address MD 715 concerns and issues according to the department's regulations and guidance.
You will identify barriers and challenges to the NAVSEA EEO program and develops recommendations to Command leadership.
You will direct internal operating policies, procedures, reports, and briefings regarding program initiatives as appropriate.
You will provide and direct training efforts to the workforce regarding EEO policies and procedures.
You will update program instructions, develop progress reports, and provide input to substantiate findings or present recommendations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
