Duties

As a Communications exercise planner, responsible for Telecommunications and Information Management in the Operations Mission area. Manage telecommunications programs for command, control, communications, computers, and information management (C4IM) within USARPAC G6 area of responsibility. Evaluate, plan, forecast, process, and implement telecommunications and C4IM requirements necessary to support theater-wide, real world operations, contingencies, and exercises. Develop plans, policies, and procedures; defines and implements requirements and directs operations. Analyzes requirements and plans, and develops products in support of Theater Army and joint exercise information systems requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is designated as "Drug Testing Required", employee must pass screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and subsequent periodic drug screening thereafter. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
  • The positions work hours may include evenings, early morning, weekend and holidays.
  • The position may require duties to be performed under austere conditions during exercises and deployment operations. Specific training and immunization requirements may be required as appropriate for deployments.
  • This is a Basic proficiency level DoD Cyberspace Workforce position and the incumbent (or Selectee) must achieve:
  • (a) The foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role in accordance with DoDI 8140.02.
  • (b) The resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role in accordance with DoDI 8140.02.
  • In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
  • Appointment to this position may be subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
