You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Cybersecurity Assessment Branch of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will serve as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) and Functional Security Control Assessor Representative (FSCA-R).
You will be responsible for carrying out cybersecurity assessments on information systems and networks, cybersecurity planning, and management responsibilities.
You will conduct independent assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an IT system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls.
You will develop, evaluate, and implement cybersecurity plans, procedures and requirements to ensure compliance with DoD Cybersecurity Framework and Cyberspace Workforce Management policies.
You will serve as a Risk Management Framework (RMF) Subject Matter Expert to guide information systems and networks into a secure security posture.
You will serve as a work group leader of the remote or onsite assessment performed on a system or network to ensure they meet authorization requirements.

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 621, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Performing duties as a Security Control Assessor; 2) Executing on-site and remote cybersecurity assessments on information systems to include security control review, risk analysis, and authorization recommendations; 3) Demonstrating experience with Department of Defense and Department of Navy cybersecurity policies and administration; 4) Working knowledge of Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) process; 5) Planning and conducting Cybersecurity continuous monitoring and analysis employing Department of Defense approved assessment tools.
