You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.
Duties
You will perform and/or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations, implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
You will perform research, analysis, and interpretation of how new and revised financial policies impact an organization.
You will conduct performance and financial reviews and validation testing.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Financial Management Analyst specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of budgetary and financial policies, procedures, and regulations. I have experience identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of financial and budgetary problems such as the development of alternative methods of funding; formulation of budget estimates for programs; and adjusting financial policies in which requirements have changed. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing the following duties: 1) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations; 2) Interpreting budgetary/accounting policies and practices to resolve technical and operational problems with retail procurement procedures; 3) Presenting and defending budget reports and estimates to senior leadership; 4) Establishing, monitoring, and validating financial management commitments and obligations; 5) Proficiently using various software applications to meet work requirements including MS Access, Powerpoint, Excel, SAP, and ERP.
