Duties
Establishes work schedules, selects type and amount of materials to be used and ensures proper charging of material against job order. Determines manpower requirements, materials and methods to be used in successfully completing the job. Provides on-the-job training to ensure employees are proficient in current job duties and responsibilities and are aware of MCCS policies and procedures. Performs on-site inspections of work during construction.

Qualifications
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEMust be able to plan complete Journeyman level work which demonstrates knowledge of the skills associated with a variety of trades involving painting, masonry, plumbing and welding. Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of the Uniform Building Code. Possession of valid California driver's license.RESPONSIBILITYWorks under general supervision. The majority of the work is performed independently where the incumbent makes decisions based on personal knowledge.PHYSICAL EFFORTRequires prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Lifts, carries, and sets up materials and equipment weighing up to 10lbs. Occasionally may handle materials weighing 40 lbs. and over.WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed both inside and outside and incumbent is exposed to dirt, pain vapors and fumes, scrapes, burns and cuts.
