About the Position: Serves as a Telecommunications Manager (Capabilities Integration) for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Serves as senior subject matter expert (SME)/technical lead and network manager for a global satellite networks and ground enterprise architectures providing connectivity to aircraft conducting ISR functions. Serves as technical advisor/lead to DoD aircraft platform program offices for the selection of appropriate technologies such as antennas, modems, antenna controllers, global positioning equipment and inertial references. Serves as the Air Component Commander’s technical expert on Tactical Data Links and aircraft communication technology integration. Performs system cost/benefit analysis for military and industry solutions and provides recommendations to senior leadership and councils.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • May require temporary duty (TDY) travel 30% or less at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Position is deployable for mission requirements.
  • The employee may be required to work uncommon tours of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Employee may be subject to recall situations during nonscheduled time periods.
  • Employee is subject to short notice recall and must reside within a one-hour recall distance.
  • A pre-employment deployable physical is required.
  • Must obtain and possess IAT Level II certification.
