You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (FLEET MANAGEMENT) in the Vehicle Inspection Office, Southwest Region Fleet Transportation Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will provide customer collision repair and refinishing via contract vendors.
You will maintain the Preventive Maintenance program.
You will assist in placing new vehicles into service or removing vehicles from the fleet.
You will perform data entry and manipulation utilizing the automated Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) management system Fleet Focus and GSA's Drive -Thru online program.
You will initiate and update shop repair orders in the absence of the service writer and perform other duties as assigned .

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing customer and contracted motor vehicle maintenance, collision repair, and records management.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school; or
- Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
Combining Education and Experience:
- For GS-5 level positions (except Clerk-Stenographer, which does not require specialized experience), only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
