You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (PASSENGER) (OA) in the G4 Logistics Division, Distribution Management Office of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will will serve as a military passport acceptance agent for the Camp Pendleton area of operation
You will be responsible for all military and civilian no-fee passports, for all branches of service.
You will establish eligibility for a no-fee passport through the Foreign Clearance Guide and use Visa Passport Automated System (VPAS) to
complete the submission of properly completed DD Form 1056.
You will properly endorse, prepares and assemble passport application packages for submission as mandated by the State Department.
You will coordinate complex travel itineraries for military and civilian personnel traveling at government expense on official orders.
You will review travel orders to verify entitlements and official authorization for travel.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting, and articulating established procedures & processes identified within the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR); Experience with Government-sponsored Passenger Travel; Experience with counseling DoD Military & Civilian Employees on authorized entitlements as established within the Joint Travel Regulation; Knowledge of the DoD's Passenger Travel Program.
