About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serves as a Stand Alone Network Enterprise Center (SANEC) Division Chief over the BusinessDivision (BD).

Duties

Provide leadership in C4IM and IT, implementing and supporting theater and enterprise initiatives, projects, and programs for defining, evolving, evaluating, and improving information management functions across supported organizations. Utilize available resources to execute projects designed to create business value and meet organizational IT requirements. Translate strategic plans and technical guidance into objectives, strategies, and architectural guidance. Manage short- and long-term operations plans. Anticipates and prepares for military contingencies or surges in workload by creating/promoting mechanisms to accommodate ongoing evolution of customer requirements. Identify operational deficiencies and recommends priorities for modernization. Provide supervision through assigned subordinate supervisors in the daily operations to direct, coordinate, and oversee C4IM services. Coordinate the work of branches to ensure that daily and long-term goals and objectives are met.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter according to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
• Nondisclosure Agreement: This position requires access to classified information. Incumbent of the position will be required to complete a Standard Form (SF) 312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).
• Incumbent must complete a supervisory probationary period, including any mandatory supervisory or refresher training, unless previously completed.
• Incumbent may be required to work overtime and other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• This position is designated as an adverse weather position. The incumbent may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
• Call-back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
